Japan vintage juban around the 1930s.
One of the kimono underwear, juban.
It is one of the Japanese clothing which tends to be hidden behind Japan Vintage than noragi and hanten, but it is a very nice item, so I think it would be useful to have one.
Unlike long juban, it's a skin juban that touches the skin directly, so a solid white solid color may not be impressive.
In addition, the goodness and texture of the old Japanese cotton texture are excellent, and I am also glad that daily care is easy compared to silk and so on.
The pattern of the collar is also elaborated, and I am able to feel the Japanese aesthetics that are elaborated so far in underwear.

和服の下着の一つ、襦袢(じゅばん/じゅはん)。
海外を中心に評価される野良着や半纏よりも、ジャパンヴィンテージの影に隠れがちな和服の一つですが、とても素敵なお品ですので、一着お持ちだと重宝すると思います。
長襦袢や半襦袢とは異なり、直接肌に触れる肌襦袢なので白無地のソリッドカラーが印象的ではないでしょうか。
また、日本の古い木綿らしい肌触りの良さと風合いは素晴らしいものがありますし、シルクなどに比べて日頃のケアがイージーなのも嬉しいですね。
襟の柄も凝っていますし、下着にここまで凝る日本的な美意識を感じさせます。
和装スタイルに合わせるよりもシャツやちょっとしたジャケットとして考えてみると、ファッショナブルで合わせやすと思います。
見た目もオンリーワン、そして無地なので一般的な洋服との相性も非常に良いです。
飽きたら藍染などでオーバーダイしても良いかもしれません。
薄手の生地感なので、春夏は特に快適です。
