明治～大正時代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ藍染道中合羽になります。
16世紀頃、日本へ来航したスペイン人やポルトガル人が着用していたアイテムが起源とされる、道中合羽(どうちゅうかっぱ)。
江戸時代中期頃になると、木綿を使用した合羽が作られ始め、主に雨風を防ぐアウターとして着用されていたそうです。
股旅や歌川広重の東海道五十三次にもありますが、トラベルウェアとしても着用されていた事から、名称に道中がついたようです。
年月の経過あり、現存数が非常に少なく、古い物との出会いはほぼ無くなりましたね。
表面の小絣は道中合羽の中でも比較的珍しいですし、生地自体に見応えがあります。
また、裏面は贅沢な総藍無地で、ジャパンブルーらしい色味が本当に美しいです。
実際に着用するとケープやポンチョ～マントのようで、ファッションアイテムとしても成立します。
個人的には骨董収集やコスプレ、当時の再現などのアンファッショナブルな考え方ではなく、ファッションアイテムとして捉えていただきたいです。
このレベルとなるともはや存在にも価値がありますね。

It will be the Japan Vintage indigo dochu kappa from the Meiji to Taisho eras.
Dochu kappa is said to have originated from items worn by Spaniards and Portuguese who came to Japan around the 16th century.
It seems that it was mainly worn as rainwear to prevent rain and wind.
Over the years, the number of existing ones is very small, and the encounters with old ones have almost disappeared.
The small kasuri on the surface is relatively rare in dochu kappa, and the fabric itself is spectacular.
In addition, the back side is a luxurious solid indigo color, and the color like Japan Blue is really beautiful.
When actually worn, it looks like a cape or poncho-cloak, and can be used as a fashion item.
Personally, I would like you to think of it as a fashion item rather than an unfashionable way of thinking such as cosplay and reproduction at that time.
At this level, existence is already valuable.
