大正から昭和初期頃のジャパンヴィンテージ木綿布団皮になります。
布団皮(ふとんがわ)と呼ばれ、当時、綿入りの布団として使用されていたヴィンテージファブリック。
こちらの布団皮含む日本の古い布は、古布(こふ)と呼ばれ、世界中のデザイナーやリメイク作家から高い評価を得ているテキスタイルでもあります。
年月の経過もあり、既に弾数はとても少なくなりました。
色合いや生地の雰囲気、完全なる一点物ですし、条件に合ったスペックの物とはなかなか出会えませんので、これだと言うお気に入りを見つけた際はお早めの入手がお勧めです。
この布団皮は両面ともにそれぞれ異なる雰囲気で、それぞれ美しいテキスタイルとしてお楽しみいただけると思います。
表面の日本らしい格子パターンは、素朴な温もりある雰囲気が魅力ではないでしょうか。
また、裏面は貴重な正藍の無地です。
ここまで大きな藍染生地は見つかりづらいですし、一部、つぎはぎのリペアが入っている箇所も見所だと思います。
襤褸としても良い雰囲気で、眺めていられる生地ですね。
綿が抜かれており、扱い易いのも魅力です。
とても雰囲気があるので、インテリアファブリックとして飾っておくのも素敵ではないでしょうか。

This old Japanese cloth, including futongawa, is called kofu and is also a textile that has been highly evaluated by designers and remake artists around the world.
