1930年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージつぎはぎ米袋になります。

格子や縞模様など、数種の生地でつぎはぎされ作られた米袋。

米袋は文字通り、お米を持ち運んだり保管する際に使用されていたアイテムです。

昭和初期頃までは、各地域で冠婚葬祭などの際に米を持ち寄り、心意を示す風習があり、その際にもこの米袋は使用されていました。

米が日本人の主食ということもありますが、生活に直結した当時のこういったアイテムは、大事にしていきたいですね。

米袋の中でもここまで大きめのサイズ感の物は非常に珍しく、なかなか入手できる物ではございません。

アメリカのランドリーバッグのようなサイズで、お部屋などに転がしておくだけでも絵になりますね。
