昭和中期頃のジャパンヴィンテージ唐草模様油箪古布になります。
油箪/油単(ゆたん)は、箪笥や長持等の家具を汚れや埃の付着を防止する為に掛けられるカバーです。
また、元々は、油を引いた物を包むために使われる布や紙を指し、風呂敷や敷物の一種でもありました。
一時期は婚礼品として扱われていた事もありましたが、現代の日本に於いて、使用される事はほぼ無くなりました。
また、日本の古布の評価が世界中で進んでいる今、はぎれや布団皮と比べると、圧倒的に数が少なく、こちらのような古いタイプの発見と入手は難しくなる一方です。
日本的な唐草模様というのも粋ですし、日焼けもプラスしたつぎはぎの仕立てはクレイジーパターンのファブリックとしてもかっこいいと思います。
また、ここまで大きいサイズの古布もなかなか見かけませんし、とても貴重ではないでしょうか。
テキスタイルデザイナーの方はソースとして、リメイク作家の方は、生地の雰囲気を活かして、贅沢に使っても良いですね。
インテリアファブリックとして飾っておくだけでも素敵ですし、ある種のアートとしても評価すべきです。

It will be Japan Vintage karakusa yutan fabric around the middle of the Showa period.
yutan is a cover that can be hung on furniture such as chests of drawers to prevent dirt and dust from adhering to them.
Originally, it refers to the cloth and paper used to wrap oiled items, and was also a type of furoshiki or rug.
It was once treated as a wedding item, but it is almost no longer used in modern Japan.
Also, now that the evaluation of vintage fabrics in Japan is progressing all over the world, the number is overwhelmingly small compared to scraps and futon covers, and it is becoming difficult to find and obtain old types like this.
The Japanese karakusa pattern is nice, and the patchy tailoring with sunburn is also cool as a crazy pattern fabric.
Also, I don't see such a large size Japanese fabric vintage, so it's very valuable.
Textile designers can use it as a sauce, and remake writers can use it luxuriously by taking advantage of the atmosphere of the fabric.
It's nice to just decorate it as an interior fabric, and it should be evaluated as a kind of art.
The number is steadily decreasing year by year, so don't miss this opportunity.
