数種類の木綿の縞模様生地がつぎはぎされ、仕立てられた古布です。

正方形に近い形なので、布団皮ではないと思いますが、見た目がとても良いと思います。

言葉では言い表せませんが、生地の配置がとても良く、見応えがありますし、当時の方のセンスの良さを感じさせます。

所々に見る事のできるハンドステッチも味わい深いですし、手縫いで作られた事にも意味があると思います。

刺し子や藍染系の襤褸布とは異なった魅力がありますし、縞模様そしてこのくらいのサイズ感の物は既に見つかりません。
