Japan's old cloth which became not one but two pieces.

aizome is ikat, cotton, and I've been less likely to see things with good color and atmosphere so far.

It is a pretty detail that the repair of two joints is given, and I think that some color unevenness also shows a good expression.

At the time, I do not know what was used for it, but it is easy to handle and use this size-sized cloth.

It may be good to be collected as an interior fabric such as wall hangings and art pieces.

I think that kasuri is a proud and valuable cultural heritage of Japan in aizome.

1930年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ藍染絣古布になります。

一枚ではなく二枚合わせとなった日本の古い布。

藍染に絣、木綿ですし、ここまで色味と雰囲気の良い物には出会う事も少なくなってまいりました。

二箇所継ぎの直しが施されているのも、可愛らしいディテールですし、所々の色むらも良い表情を見せてくれていると思います。

当時、何に使われていたのかは分かりませんが、このくらいのサイズ感の布は扱いやすく便利ですね。

壁掛けなどのインテリアファブリックやアートピースとしてコレクションされるのも良いのではないでしょうか。

藍染に絣は日本の誇るべき、貴重な文化遺産だとも思います。
