506XX(1st)からスタートしたリーバイス歴代のデニムジャケットの中で、3rdにあたる557デニムジャケットの日本製の復刻です。
製造は、日本のファッションが刺激的でとても楽しい時代だった1993年。
オリジナルの557のディテールを再現しており、日本製のリーバイスの復刻がお好きな方も多いのも納得です。
後年のLVCもそうですが、オリジナルとレプリカという物は良くも悪くも別物だと思いますので、個々人のニーズや状況により選ばれた方がストレスが無くて良いのではないでしょうか。
しかし、今から25年以上前のヴィンテージになりますので、細やかな縦落ちの色味は美しく、雰囲気の良さも格別だと思います。
同じ年代の501よりもヴィンテージ面した表情ですし、本家が作る物には説得力がありますね。
また、近年では90年代のレプリカや日本のストリートブランドの評価も高まっていますし、これまでのアメリカやヨーロッパ主体のヴィンテージマーケットだけで考える事もおかしい時代になったと思います。
