1990年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ武蔵号藍染刺し子剣道着になります。
既に事業を停止しておりますが、武蔵号ブランドで非常に有名なオガタ武道具工業のKendo Jacketです。
2011年に事業停止へ至るまで、一般向け防具では最大手に位置し、また海外での評価が非常に高かった事から、世界各国への輸出並びに代理店を持っていました。
また、現在では剣道着は海外ではファッションアイテムとしても非常に人気が高く、スポーツシーン以外からも需要があります。
どこの国のアイテムでも見る事のない刺し子生地や藍染等々、魅力も多く、人気の理由も納得ですね。
また、野良着や印半纏、羽織などよりもデニムジャケット感覚で着易い事から、最初のジャパンヴィンテージとしてチョイスされる方も多いです。
こちらの剣道着、そこまで古くはありませんが、ハードワーク故に育まれた色落ちや雰囲気、サイズ、素晴らしい個体だと思います。
肩周辺の皺のような色落ちはジーンズで言うヒゲでしょうか、実際に着込まれた物でしか味わえませんね。
また、二重刺しの生地感も見所の一つだと思います。
上部は密度を高くし、耐久性を高めた総刺し子、下部は袴にインした時の煩わしさを軽減するため、ステッチ数を減らした菱刺しです。
機能美+デザインとしても美しいディテールではないでしょうか。
そして、片袖のインパクトある漢字の刺繍は本当にかっこいいと思います。
また、裾に入る小さな武蔵号のタグも可愛いですね。
