1950～60年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ印半纏になります。
印半纏の歴史は非常に古く、その起源は江戸時代まで遡ります。
用途としましては使用人や職人、火消し達が日常的に着るワークウェアやユニフォームにあたるアイテムです。
背中の大紋や襟、そして腰に入る柄(腰柄:こしがら)に着用者の所属する会社や団体、名前等を示す事が多く、最近では、入る漢字の美しさから海外からも高い評価を受けています。
また、コレクトする楽しみもあるアイテムなので、日本国内でも集めていらっしゃる方もおり、弾数の減少に伴い、相場も上がりつつあります。
戦後の復興期、まだ日本国内で林業が盛んだった頃の製材所の印半纏です。
最近では腰柄が入るタイプはなかなか見つかりませんし、角字のデザインもモダンでとても素敵だと思います。
当時、ハードワークを重ねていた着用者の情景が思い浮かんでくるようで、全体的に力強さを感じさせますね。
海外では既にHanten JacketやHappi Coatとして感度の高いユーザーが着ています。
日本国内ではまだ、着用目的の方は少ないので、ファッションとして楽しむのは正に今ではないでしょうか。
