・素材:木綿/人絹の混紡だと思われます。(断定はできかねます。)
昭和中期頃のジャパンヴィンテージ2トーン風呂敷になります。
エコやリサイクル意識の向上、古布の評価の高まりを受け、再評価進む風呂敷(ふろしき)です。
なかなか発見できない貴重な大判サイズですし、無地と縞模様の2トーンコンビもレアなスペックだと思います。
現行で作られている風呂敷だと狙い過ぎている物が多いですが、古い風呂敷だと狙っていないけど素敵、そんな絶妙なバランスが魅力ではないでしょうか。
壁に飾ったり目隠しとしてお使いになられるも良し、リメイクやリペア用素材としてもお勧めです。
襤褸や刺し子布とは違った良さが風呂敷はありますね。

・ Date: Around the middle of the Showa period
・ Material: It seems to be a blend of cotton / rayon. (I can't say for sure.)
It will be a Japan Vintage 2-tone Furoshiki around the middle of the Showa period.
Furoshiki is being re-evaluated in response to the growing awareness of eco-friendliness and recycling, and the growing evaluation of used cloth.
It's a precious large size that you can't easily find, and I think the two-tone combination of plain and striped is also a rare spec.
Isn't the exquisite balance of the old furoshiki attractive?
You can decorate it on the wall or use it as an interior fabric, and it is also recommended as a material for remakes and repairs.
Furoshiki has a different merit from boro and sashiko cloth.
