Japan vintage tanzen warm padded kimono around 1930-40s.
Japanese-style cold protection with thick cotton inside, a long kimono called tanzen or dotera.
In the Tohoku and Hokkaido regions, kaimaki (bedding) is sometimes called Tanzen.
This Tanzen model is said to be in Katsuyama's costume, a famous prostitute of Yoshiwara (a playground for men certified by the Edo Shogunate).
It is said that the men who went to Yoshiwara spread from the fact that they wore much like Tanzen.
The distinctive looks with a tremendous mode atmosphere are unique, and I personally think that it is no longer necessary to categorize only in the category of kimono.
The surface is striped with a calm atmosphere, and there is almost no difference in shades of lines.

1930～40年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ丹前綿入れ着物になります。
中に厚く綿を入れた日本式の防寒具、丹前(たんぜん)や褞袍(どてら)と呼ばれる長着の着物です。
東北や北海道地方では、掻巻(寝具)の事を丹前と呼ぶ事もあります。
この丹前の原型は、吉原(よしわら:江戸幕府によって公認された遊廓)の有名な遊女であった勝山の衣裳にあると言われています。
吉原に通った旗本奴達が丹前によく似た着た事から広まっていったとされています。
凄まじくモードな雰囲気が漂う特徴的なルックスは、個性的であり、もはや和服というカテゴリーだけにカテゴライズしておくのは勿体ないと個人的に思います。
表面は落ち着いた雰囲気の縞模様、線の濃淡差が殆ど無いので合わせ易さも抜群ではないでしょうか。
そして、裏面の黒々とした藍染の色味は雰囲気と重厚感が見事でお好きな方も多いと思います。
袖口などの少し色落ちした藍の色味はジャパンブルーらしい美しさですし、これからの色落ちに期待が持てますね。
また、両面それぞれで一枚の反物から仕立てられているのも比較的珍しく、当時比較的裕福なご家庭で作られた物と推測できます。
裏面で分かりやすい仕立て糸の残りもアクセントとして評価できますし、このまま残しておきたくなりますね。
ラフな雰囲気でコートやローブ等々のアウターとして考えるとコーディネートしやすいと思います。
色味もシンプルなので、スタンダードな洋服との相性も非常に良いですし、誰とも一緒にならないオンリーワンなスタイルを模索されている方に和服は最適ではないでしょうか。
ここまでのレベルの丹前は本当に見つかりません。
