昭和初期から中期頃のジャパンヴィンテージ布団皮になります。

綿入り布団の外側の布を布団皮(ふとんがわ)と言います。

元はもっと大きかったようで、それが解体され、現在の状態となったようです。

一枚布になっているので、用途が広がりますし、扱い易さも魅力ではないでしょうか。

色味に柄も素晴らしいですし、日本の古い木綿はやはり最高ですね。

裏のハンドステッチやミシンステッチも味わいがありますし、ディテールの一つ一つが魅力的です。

また、ここ数年でこちらのような布団皮やはぎれ含む日本の古い布は、古布(こふ)と呼ばれ、世界中の方から支持を得るようになりました。

リメイク作家やテキスタイル・ファッションデザイナーからも評価され、なかなか良い物が見つからなくなってまいりました。

リメイク素材やパーツ取りとしても十分にお使いいただけますし、インテリアファブリックとしてディスプレイしても素敵ですね。

藍染や襤褸、刺し子の布だけがジャパニーズファブリックではありません。

発見が難しい貴重なヴィンテージファブリックです。

・Material: cotton

Japan vintage futon cover from the early Showa period to the middle period.

The outer cloth of the cotton-filled futon is called futongawa.

It seems that the original was larger, and it was dismantled and it is in its current state.

Since it is made of a single piece of cloth, it can be used for a wide range of purposes and is easy to handle.

The color and pattern are wonderful, and old Japanese cotton is still the best.

There are hand stitches and sewing stitches on the back, and each detail is attractive.

Also, in the last few years, old Japanese cloths such as futongawa and scraps, called kofu, have gained the support of people all over the world.

It has been appreciated by remake artists and textile/fashion designers, and it has become difficult to find good products.

It can be fully used as a remake material and parts removal, and it is also nice to display as an interior fabric.

Indigo, boro and sashiko cloths are not the only Japanese fabrics.
