1930年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ藍染雪ん子絣もんぺになります。
ゆったりしたヒップ周りと絞られた裾が特徴的な日本固有の労働着、もんぺ。
着物の裾や上着を中にインして着用することを前提としており、作業に適した動き易さと履き心地の良さから日本では古くから着用されていた伝統的なアイテムです。
響きも良いもんぺの語源は、アイヌ語でズボンを意味するオムンペや、股引(ももひき)から来た等、諸説ございます。
また、第二次世界大戦中は女性の着用が義務付けられていた歴史もあります。
それだけ当時としては、合理的で完成されたアイテムだということを物語っていますね。
また、洋装が一般化した現在、真新しさと共に「和」の雰囲気を持つアイテムとして評価されています。
両脇にスリットが入り、前後でセパレートされた一般的なタイプで、腰紐で縛り、閉じて履く仕様になります。
現行で製造されている物はウエストゴムが主流なので、こちらのような古い年代の腰紐タイプは既に貴重です。
