当時、布団として使用されていたヴィンテージファブリック。
布団皮含む日本の古い布は、古布(こふ)とも呼ばれ、世界中の方から人気を集めるまでになりました。
リメイク作家の方やテキスタイル・ファッションデザイナーの方から高い評価を得ており、評価の高まりと共に良い物は本当に見つからなくなりました。
また、布団皮は他のはぎれよりもサイズが大きいので、リメイク素材やパーツ取りとしても十分にお使いいただけます。
元は綿入りだったようですが、取り除かれ、扱いやすくなっているのも魅力だと思います。
マルーンをベースにした色味も珍しいですし、様々な色が組み合わさった独特のストライプ模様は、日本のテキスタイルらしく素晴らしい趣を感じさせます。
また、当て布でつぎはぎのリペアが施されているのも可愛らしく、襤褸としても評価できる部分ではないでしょうか。
