It will be a Japanese vintage indigo boro fabric from the Meiji era to the Taisho era.
An old Japanese cloth that is very popular with textile and fashion designers, remake artists and enthusiasts around the world.
I think the taste, expression, and atmosphere are the best in the world, and the reason for attracting many people is packed with kofu in Japan.
It is a large size that can not be found anywhere recently.
The address and name of the owner at the time are written at the end, so it may have been used as a furoshiki. (Images are not disclosed here to protect personal information.)
The patch patch repair, which is slightly away from the center, is both charming and beautiful.
This repair shows a completely different look on the front and back, and I think that it has been established as an art, including sashiko stitches.

世界中のテキスタイル・ファッションデザイナーやリメイクアーティスト、愛好家の方々から評価され、非常に高い人気を誇る日本の古い布。
味わいや表情、雰囲気の良さは世界一だと思いますし、多くの人々を魅了するだけの理由が日本の古布には詰まっていますね。
最近ではどこを探しても見つからない大きめサイズです。
端に当時の所有者の住所と名前が書いてありますので、風呂敷として使用されていたのかもしれません。(画像は個人情報保護のため、ここでは開示しません。)
中央からやや離れた位置にあるつぎはぎのリペアは愛嬌もありますし、絵になるディテールだと思います。
このリペア、表裏で全く異なる表情を見せてくれますし、刺し子ステッチも含め、アートとして成立していると思います。
また、所々のダメージや汚れが雰囲気の良さとして評価できるのも古い木綿布ならではのディテールです。
とても雰囲気が良いので、壁掛け等のインテリアファブリックとして最高のパフォーマンスを見せてくれると思います。
また、ストールやスカーフといったファッションファブリックとしてお使いになっても素敵ですね。
古い木綿、藍染は勿論、ここまでスペックの良い布はもう見つかりません。
