昭和初期から中期頃のジャパンヴィンテージ刺し子剣道着になります。
国内外問わず、ファッションアイテムとしても非常に人気の高い剣道着。
海外でもKendo JacketやKendo Giのネーミングで通用するある意味、日本を代表する衣料/武道具だと思います。
そんな剣道着の中でも本当に見付からない手刺しの剣道着です。
生地の補強は手縫いの刺し子で、ミシン刺し子とは全く異なる蠢くかのような迫力を感じさせます。
特に裏面だとステッチの動きが分かりやすいのですが、完成させるのに莫大な時間が掛かった事が分かります。
下半分のダイヤ型の格子もテキスタイルとして極上で、全体の佇まいにリズムがあって飽きませんね。
年代的にはおそらく戦前(～1940年代)頃で、ミシン縫製も所々に見る事ができます。
ミシンが使用されている事を考えると、富裕層向けのオーダー品だった思われますし、ステッチ一つで当時の状況が推測できる面白さがありますね。
また、ファッション的にも剣道着は最高ですね。

It will be a Japan vintage sashiko kendo jacket from the early to mid-Showa period.
A kendo jacket that is very popular as a fashion item both in Japan and overseas.
I think that it is a kind of clothing / martial arts representative of Japan in a sense that it can be used overseas by naming Kendo Jacket and Kendo Gi.
It is kendo gi of hand-sewn sashiko that I can not really find in such kendo clothes.
Reinforcement of the fabric is hand-sewn sashiko, making it feel as if it wriggles completely different from sewing machine sashiko.
Especially on the back side, it is easy to understand the stitch movement, but you can see that it took enormous time to complete.
The diamond-shaped lattice in the lower half is the finest as a textile, and the whole appearance has a rhythm, so you won't get bored.
The age is probably before the war (~ 1940s), and sewing can be seen in some places.
Considering that sewing machines are used, it seems that it was an order product for the wealthy, and there is fun that you can estimate the situation at the time with one stitch.
Also, the kendo jacket is the best in fashion.
It's simple, so it's easy to match, and it goes very well with standard clothes.
For those who are tired of general values, trends and styles, I think kendo gi is the best choice.
